The Arsenal and Premier League Season: 2011-2012

Manchester United vs. Manchester City

The final day of the 2011-2012 Premiere League season was one of the most exciting day of football I have experienced in a long time, this day would have been even more exciting if Arsenal was in Manchester City's position and Sp*urs was in QPR’s position and about to be regulated. It was a tense day filled with nail-biting drama that had everyone on the edge of their seats. The Premiere League Championship was decided by two goals in the last couple minutes of extra time. Growing up we use to say that the worst defeat was a 1-nill defeat but we have a new worst, the worst defeat is thinking you will be champion and to have it snatched away from you in the dying moments by your bitter, hated rival. That must have hurt, many Manchester United supporters must have cried themselves to sleep that night, that was brutal, like having your guts sucked out, gutted like a fish on international Television. The NHS will be handing out anti-depression tablets to Manchester United fans for a long time to come, every time they see the Manchester City colours which should be all over Manchester by now, they will curl up into the foetal position and cry like babies.

I did not want Manchester City to win the League only because of the ungrateful, traitorous ex-Arsenal players (Samir Nasri, Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor (Now with the scums on loan)) that are now members of that squad, in particular Samir Nasri, I dislike him immensely and did not want him to win anything because of what he said about The Arsenal. Nasri used us as a stepping stone plain and simple and then had nothing good to say about us, after he left he turned around and spat on us, he will be forever hated. But he was right when he said he would lift the Premiere League Cup with Manchester City before Arsenal and he did. After lifting the cup he was quoted as saying that Arsenal should "celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles". … What a Scumbag!!!!

Joey Barton vs. The Demons in his Head

During the Manchester City vs. Queens Park Rangers match Carlos Tevez lashed out against Joey Barton punching him in the back of the head which started the mother of all Brawls, it was truly Joey Barton versus City as he tried to fight anyone who confronted him. I truly believe that if it was not for football Joey Barton would be serving 25 to life in one of the UK’s many prisons alongside his brother Michael Barton who was sentenced to life imprisonment (with a tariff of 17 years) for his involvement in the racially motivated murder of Anthony Walker in 2005.

So After elbowing Carlos Tevez in the face, Barton went on to kick Sergio Aguero and then head butted Vincent Kompany, thus completing a hat-trick of assaults in the space of about 5 minutes and even after that tried to engage the boy child Mario Balotelli. Watching Mario Balotelli race onto the field to confront Joey Barton was a joke, Balotelli is not a bad boy, he is more childlike, a man boy, an immature person who throws tantrums when he does not get his way. As much as I cannot stand a bone in Joey Barton’s body compare to Mario Balotelli, Joey is the real deal, bad to the bone, a first class lunatic who will fight anyone, anywhere anytime, he is borderline insane, a psychopath and as far as I am concern Barton should be in prison or will end up in prison one day.

However he would have wiped the floor with girly boy Mario Balotelli and I would have enjoyed watching that.

His career and life have been marked by numerous controversial incidents and disciplinary problems and he has been convicted twice on charges of violence. On 20 May 2008 he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for common assault and affray during an incident outside a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool City Centre. Barton served 77 days of this prison term, being released on 28 July 2008. On 1 July 2008 he was also given a four-month suspended sentence after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm on former teammate Ousmane Dabo during a training ground dispute on 1 May 2007. This incident effectively ended his Manchester City career. Barton has twice been charged with violent conduct by The FA: for the assault on Dabo and for punching Morten Gamst Pedersen in the stomach. He was twice fined by former club Manchester City for stubbing a lit cigar in the eye of young team-mate Jamie Tandy at a Christmas party - and for his involvement in an altercation with a 15-year-old Everton fan at City's team hotel in Bangkok during a pre-season tour.

Demonic Possession of Joey Barton!

In May 2005 he broke a 35-year-old pedestrian's leg while driving his car through Liverpool city centre at 2 am. He was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after an alleged argument with a taxi driver in Liverpool while going to his hotel after a match on 13 March 2007. He was cleared of this charge in May 2008.

And while all this was going on I have watched Pundits over the years defended Barton and his crazy ways, whenever the English want to make light of something nasty they prefix it with the words "The Lad" or "The Poor Lad". Make no Mistake Joey Barton is an English creation as they bend over more times than I can count to accommodate him and his crimes.

Diaby however was not having it!

Arsenal vs. the Scumbag, Spuds, Sp*rs

Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham (26th February, 2012)
 Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham (17th November 2012)

Again Arsenal was locked in bitter battle with their hated, disgusting troll like rivals the scumbags called Sp*rs, for most of the season we were struggling behind these douche bags but again we proved that they are truly the most worthless club in all of England, if not the world. St Totteringham's Day was declared on the last day of the season when Arsenal beat West Bromwich Albion to claim the third spot and regulate The Scums to the fourth position. For now they have a place in next seasons Champions League but if Chelsea wins the Champions League this season then the Spuds will be denied their place and all will be right with the world again.

The Blue energy of hope (Blue Lantern Corps ) has an infallible connection to the universe, let us all concentrate all our energies to keep hope alive and give Chelsea the strength to beat Bayern Munich and knock Sp*rs out of next seasons Champions League, after that happens then let’s hope Chelsea crash and burn for all eternity, never to win another match. The only decent player the Spuds have at the moment is the on-loan Emmanuel Adebayor who belongs to Manchester City and since City clearly do not need this idiot to win anything, Sp*urs would be fools not to splash out and buy the ungrateful, traitorous scumbag, both he and the Spuds are like two peas in a pod.

I was told by a Sp*rs supporter that Arsenal will forever be in their shadows and now I finally understand how he came to that conclusion, if the light source is behind the spuds and The Arsenal is in front of the spuds then this is the only way we could be in their nasty disgusting cold clammy shadows, we need to increase our distance from them and fast.

The Arsenal

I am not happy that we finished in the third position but I am relieved, this is not where a great Club like The Arsenal should be. I am not happy with our 2011-2012 performance, I am not happy with the state of the club, not happy with its direction, I am not happy with the size of the squad, it is way too small and does not provide sufficient cover and I am so not happy with the defense, they are not solid enough and play out of position way too often, too many times they were caught out looking at the scorer as he storms his way towards our goal with no one to stop him, we conceded way too much goals to lesser teams.

I am not too happy with Arsene Wenger at the moment, I do not understand why he seems happy with the current squad, happy that we finished third, happy to make marginal and mediocre gains, I do not understand why he is unable or unwilling to identify weakness in the squad and fix them, regardless of price. The current Arsenal squad is not yet a championship side these Gunners are Gun shy when it comes to consistency and persistency especially against lesser sides and they are unable to defend and preserve their lead.

You cannot win trophies with such a lean squad because the English football season is long and hard, it is an unforgiving season, there is no Christmas break or breaks of any kind like in other countries and as such injuries are bound to happen and we should prepare for that, switching in and out players who are equal in strength and abilities. Instead we have an ideal eleven and if injury occurs then we slap a makeshift squad together, throw them on the field, out of position and watch them run around like chickens without heads.

We have some good players but not great players with the exception of Robin Van Persie who is a great player scoring 37 goals this season, he is in a class by himself and we should do whatever it takes to keep him. Alex Song is a very good player with the ability to pick out Van Persie and deliver a precision like pass, Mikel Arteta shows maturity in midfield and Thomas Vermaelen a good defender but cannot do it alone, all solid players but can and did get injured over the season and we need proper cover.

Yao Gervinho is a good player, who will make most defenders look foolish, Gervinho can pick up the ball in midfield and before you know it beat the defenders all the way into the box, however he cannot shoot for shit and the best thing he should do with the ball is to pass it to a player who can, the man suffers from a Goal Phobia, no other player waste more goal scoring chances like Yao Gervinho, he should spend the entire off season in front of the goal, kicking balls at it…

Instead of going through the list of players I want to keep, it is easier to list players I do not want to see at Arsenal next season:
Arshavin,
Chamakh,
Djourou,
Ramsey,
Squilacci,
Jenkinson (Junk-enson),
Almunia,
Fabianski,
Frimpong
Vela,
Bendtner

End of Regular Season, Start of Silly Season
I do not think there is a day that goes by when Arsenal is not on my mind, the walls of my office is littered with arsenal posters, my desk top wallpaper is the Arsenal Logo and my screen saver is a series of Arsenal pictures.

When I login to my PC the first thing I do is to check on the status of The Arsenal from various sites while having my cup of coffee. At Home I have all the football channels and during regular season nothing is missed and the DVR is set to record what I cannot watch now for later and I sometime visit various bars showing the match when I need to relax and talk football with friends over a pint.

It is the silly season now and one must acquire the art of identifying and weed out bullshit, rubbish news from real solid facts as the the rumour mill is in full swing. Arsenal is linked to every player under the sun and every Arsenal player is either leaving or being chased by big clubs offering unbelievable amount of funny money. Even though the regular season is over, it is a special year since both the Olympics and Euro 2012 will be in full swing over the summer as such the withdrawal from the very addictive Regular Season football will not be that bad since both Jamaica and England will be in action.

Champion League is over and Chelsea was crowned Champions of Europe beating a Bayern Munich side that totally outplayed Chelsea but was unable to capitalize on their chances, which is a nice way of saying that they could not score for shit, or they could not score in a brothel or their strikers could not hit the broadside of a barn. As much as I dislike Chelsea, I dislike TotScum even more and so I am not too upset that Chelsea won the Champion League and kick the Scums out of next seasons competition, however I try not to watch any of the Chelsea’s celebration, I do wish some other club had reached the finals instead of them but hey…. That’s life.

The topic on the minds of every Arsenal supporter is … will Arsenal ever win the Champion League? It seems like we are moving further away from that goal, in the past we had much better players and still could not win that Championship, so I do not see us winning it with the current squad unless a couple of them come into form next season. Heck! With current squad most Arsenal Supporters are wondering if we will ever win the Premier League again, all is not right in our world.

On the 17 May 2006 Arsenal became the first London club to reach the Champion League final against Barcelona, we had a very good chance of beating Barcelona that year and crowned Champions of Europe, we had a very good determined squad who was up for it, hungry for it and I think we would have won that match if it was not for that crazy lunatic Jens Gerhard Lehmann, aka mad Jens who was sent off in the first half. However we cannot stay mad at Lehman for too long, he is much loved by us, a member of Arsenal’s invincible squad, he is a very good Goal keeper who command is area with authority and force if need be, he does not like opponents to trespass in his 6 yard box which is why he was sent off during the CL finals. However the Referee who issued the red card admitted “he may have acted too quickly in sending off Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann during Barcelona's Champions League triumph”, too little too late. I am getting sick and tired of the chant "you'll never win in Europe".....

The Dread at the Control and The Township of Squatters Ville

Posted by ONLINE on Thursday, May 3, 2012

“Dr Horace Chang, Former Minister of Water and Housing, stated that one-third of the people in Jamaica are squatters”

ClovisToon: Residential communities being held at ransom by Squatters and the Government not doing a thing about it

Our backyard extends behind the back wall, down the slope and across to the other side of the gully, beyond the gully is a couple acres of open land. The gully is vital to residence living on the hill it controls the flow of rain water and should be kept clean to prevent flooding.

One morning we woke up to find a rasta-man had moved on to the land and started building a shack, on land he does not own. The people living on the Avenue became very concerned and convened a meeting of the Neighborhood Association to determine the faith of the dreaded squatter, some were concerned that the presence of a squatter in an upscale residential neighborhood will have a negative effect on property values, others were concerned about the possibility of increase in crime. A suggestion was made that the Squatter should be removed from the land, as no good could come of this. This started a heated debate as some people accused others of being “Elitist’, fighting against the poor and downtrodden just because the man was black and was a rasta, “louw the dread, him naw trouble nobody” shouted some, the social barriers like the Berlin wall was coming down and there was nothing anyone could do about it (“Release the Kraken!”). At the end of the meeting the forces defending the “Poor, Downtrodden Rasta man” was victorious, the decision was made to take no further action against the lowly dread, he was now part and parcel of a community, living on land and in a neighborhood he could not afford.

At first everything was normal everyone went about their business not even remembering the dread was living back there. One day I decided to investigate so I climbed up on the back wall to see what was happening back there, the once forested land was converted into a small farm as the dread planted rows of banana, yam and various produce utilizing even the part of the land that belonged to my family, his hut also got bigger to reflect his new found wealth and fortune. The dread even climbed up on our back fence to offer us some of his produce and to have a chat with grandma as he assured her that he was looking out for everyone. Slowly people started accepting the Dread, we would go out in the back yard in the mornings and hear him behind the wall tending to his crops on our slope and would shout sometimes “Morning Dread!” and the Dread would shout back with “Morning…” and then something about "Haile Selassie I"…

As Days turned into weeks and weeks into months and months into years we noticed a transformation, the squatter’s settlement grew from one dread and a farm into a small community with no farm, then into an immovable voting block the township of Squatters Ville as the dread started charging rent to other squatters to build shacks and settle the land that he does not own. Now I know how the Native Americans must have felt when the white man started squatting on his land. After a while crazy things started happening, it started small at first, you would came home to find one or two boys in your yard and up in your mango tree, imagine watching a nice big East Indian Mango for days knowing that when it’s ripe it is going to be so juicy and delicious and then one day you come home to find 2 boys/man in your yard, up your tree eating your mango, that must have been how Cypress Hill felt when they wrote and sing the song …“How I could just kill a man”. Then one day we found a man walking around the yard, why I don’t know since separating the Dread’s capture land and our yard was a very wide Moat like Gully, an upward slope and a 7 feet high wall with spikes and broken bottles on the top.

It was not long after that when items of clothing from various yards on the Avenue started going missing from the clothes line, I used to drive around looking for the boy in my “Chams De Baron” top. One morning we woke up to find the car on 4 blocks, wheels stolen... Okay so now I cannot drive around looking for the boy in my “Chams De Baron” top. We held a meeting with the Dread, who was now speaking from a position of power, it was as if we were squatting on his land, he finally promised to reign in his band of squatter tenants but nothing really changed, crime went up, cars and house broken into, produce stolen from fruit trees, yards was still being used as walk way to and from Squatter Ville. The people on the Avenue were forced to cut down various fruit trees (mango, Ackee, Apple, Banana) trying to remove temptation and some people was cursed out for doing it… as one squatters woman shouted loud enough for all to hear … “a so dem uptown people gwan … always a fight gainst black man”... My Neighbor next door was forced to discharge his weapon on two occasions when his car and house was broken into; he later sold and move further up the hill. Not only that, but the residence of Squatters Ville started dumping their garbage and human waste in the gully, this was reported to the MP of the area and the KSAC started a cleanup campaign with a promise of garbage pickup to a place that have no documented address.

“According to the Member of Parliament for North East St Andrew, Delroy Chuck, squatting had also become a problem and has been contributing to the drainage and flooding woes.”

One morning we woke up to loud screams from the squatter compound, it seemed a white lady from America moved into the Dread’s shanty town shack with him, it must have all been very romantic for her at first but after living on squatters land for some time she decided she had had enough and wanted to leave but the dread was not having it. He tore up her travel documents and started putting some licks on her, the beating, argument and screaming continued until she was rescued by the Neighbors on the other side and I heard taken to the US Embassy. My grandmother had no sympathy for the woman it was then that I first heard the phrase “Water Find Its Own Level” for the first time, stating that the woman was just as “wotless” … (worthless) as the dread she shacked up with.

In all my years of living in that Neighborhood I have never heard or seen one Neighbor curse out another Neighbor, if there was tension I would not know about it but not so in Squatters Ville, they were not afraid to cuss and trace out each other with the most disgusting words, something had to be done.

We had to endure all this because some idiots thought that the rights of a Rastaman to squat on land he did not own and have no business being on, superseded the rights, safety and security of law abiding people. We gave the Dread an inch and he took more than a yard, the dread run-wid-it as he embarked on a process of “ghettofication” of the Neighborhood. I have heard that the squatter compound was visited by various politicians over the years looking for votes, so the likelihood of evicting the squatters at this stage is next to none, unless some politicians or a big shot buy the land from under the unwanted residence. Not just anybody can evict these people since they now have political “backitive”, you must be in a position of power able to offer the political class something in return.

As a result we were forced to increase the height of the back wall from 7 to 12 feet with many more spikes, broken bottles, razor sharp wire and motion detecting lights and as a result the yard began to look like a medieval castle preparing to repel the invading Germanic Hordes. We have also walled off the slope behind the back wall, all the way down to the gully, another obstacle in the way of the invading force and removed all agricultural produce from that area, giving them one less reason to scale the new wall. Almost everyone on the Avenue was forced to make this extra investment, all that remains is for us to erect lookout towers, manned by 24 hour armed guards but I assume before we do that, we would probably do what others have done, even the so called defenders of the poor and downtrodden…. sell and move further up the hill and leave the area to the advancing Zombie like army. In the end some well connected people in the Neighborhood organized a series of police raids and intimidation tactics and I think they got the message that they were making it bad for themselves, we managed to bring the situation under control but just.

Squatting is another area where Politicians can be hypocritical, paying lip service to tough actions against squatting when they are in Power, while doing nothing about it and blocking any attempt to evict squatters when the courts orders their eviction when they are in Opposition, since they need to appear as the defenders of the poor and down trodden in order to get re-elected.

Selling and Moving further up the hill – Gentrification vs. Ghettofication
Gentrification is not a Jamaican Concept, we hear all over the world where places that was once poor and run down is being gentrified, rebuilt, revalued and live again but I never hear of such a thing happening in Jamaica… Jamaicans it seems do not rebuild and revalue they abandoned and “lef it fi dead”… Us Jamaicans don’t stand and fight we retreat leaving behind barren waste land of what use to be prime real estate. Soon the people in upper St. Andrew will retreat over the Blue Mountains and into Portland and St. Ann in their attempt to get away from the zombies (I love Walking Dead).

A Nation of Free Loaders and Beggars!
We have become a nation looking to live free at the expense of others, a free bun and cheese mentality and we are not afraid to use poverty to justify it. The ability to call down poverty and persecution, to look pathetic while demanding to live free as everyone else slave away, is what is wrong with our society today. People want free light, free water, free land and the University of the West Indies students want to be allowed to take exams while not meeting any financial requirements, regardless of the fact that other students sacrificed to make sure their financial house was in order.

It is this same mentality that we also use to extort remittance money from relatives abroad. Our begging is scripted like an actor in a Broadway play. Selling hard life and the hard luck story pays and as long as it pays Jamaicans will continue to do it. I once heard a man in Port Antonio describing his life to a tourist who was almost brought to tears, in the end he got lunch and money to feed a family who may or may not exist and take care of a situation that I doubt existed but it pays, it worked.

I am not saying that there are not people in Jamaica who are truly suffering, I am saying it is becoming increasingly difficult to identify people who are genuinely suffering and need help. Even the simple greeting in Jamaica is engineered for begging, even if the person saying it is not looking for a handout.

You meet a friend … hey jack how tings… “Boy looking at you the better one, yu no have nothing fi gi di poor”… Even though the person is not asking for something, everyone tries to dumb down their situation “just-in-case”...

All our Governments have also tapped into the Power of selling Poverty, Persecution and Begging, they have mastered this fine art in order to finance the Wants of the people, I can imagine the Minister of Finance responding to the greetings of the IMF negotiators … “...Boy looking at you the better one, yu no have nothing fi gi di poor… say about US $1.2 Billion”… The let off Mentality is alive and well in Jamaica.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do:
A druggist from the ghetto bought the open land on the hill and proceeded to build his settlement, a four house compound in which he moved himself and his family, now the problem is not that these individuals moved uptown, the problem is that the individuals failed to conform to life on the hill as they proceeded to recreate the ghetto, similar to a virus infestation trying to take over the body.

On a daily basis massive amount of people would hangout, inside and outside of the druggist compound, his posse and extended posse would stand around watching each and everyone as they go about their daily business, some would smoke weed  while others would shout things at passing cars, they were truly some of the worst cut throats I have ever seen.

Then the druggist started keeping regular dancehall events, at first we thought it was a one off thing but later realized he had a fix schedule, Wednesday and Saturday nights was the norm, music so loud that one could hear the glass and plates rattle and vibrate in the cabinet, with people shouting rubbish over the microphone, it was also very hard to sleep during this "dutty-rubbup" event. A delegation from the neighbourhood association decided to have a word but the druggist would not have it, he had more money than God and felt that he could do what ever he wanted, where and when ever he wanted and no one could stop him.

It was then that the power brokers on the hill decided to up the ante with a series of well organised raids on the druggist compound by the security forces. This went on for a while as the druggist and his multitude of followers came under the microscope. These raids turned out not to be conducive to his druggist activities and in the end both he and his followers was forced to move back from whence they came. The compound was later sold to families who understood the meaning and importance of Peace, Quiet and maintaining ones Property Value.

I Want My Air Jamaica Back!

Posted by ONLINE on Tuesday, May 1, 2012

The Spirit of Jamaica
Back in the days we used to have 2 sometimes 3 flights a day to and from Jamaica, live and direct, one could leave NY and be in Jamaica for Brunch or fish and festival on the beach. From Atlanta 2 hours and 20 minutes and you were home sweet home, sitting on your verandah drinking a beer.

These days no such luck, travelling to Jamaica is like playing global pin-ball with various cities, you just bounce from one airport to the next like a mini bus from Half-Way-Tree to Papine. The Spirit and Jet Blue fights are now the America to Jamaica local as you stopped and idle in various North American airports before finally landing in Kingston. A friend of mine said she left Jamaica at 3:30 and did not get to Atlanta until 10PM. Another one said she had to go further up North to Chicago before she could head back in the Jamaica direction and even then only got home after several stops across North America in a series of up, down, drop off and pickup hopscotch type ride.

Air Jamaica might have been late sometimes but once they take off you knew they were heading straight for Jamaica as the maverick pilots utilize the Jet stream and wind direction to hitch a faster ride, It was not uncommon to leave late and arrive early.

We got rid of Air Jamaica to save money but it seems the money we saved we are now using it to import rubbish, ML-250 Benz, pink slime to make beef patty, imported banana Chips from north America, among other things, our food import bill is through the roof and most of things we are importing can be sourced locally in Jamaica. We sold Air Jamaica but the budget expenditure continues to sky rocket, we sold Air Jamaica but the tourist cannot find direct flights so they don’t bother coming. We sold Air Jamaica but we doubled the Notional debt from 850 billion to 1.6 Trillion.

I am beginning to believe that some services are worth paying for and keeping, the spin off benefits made life worth living and added value to our economy. Putting our trust in Trinidad was a big mistake, one we continue to make over and over again. For the record I was for the selling of Air Jamaica, a position I now totally regret, I assumed the savings would have made us stronger but it did not, we just buy more stuff.

I was totally against selling to Trinidad and now I can say …..I told you so!

Air Jamaica planes flew to such critical tourism marketplaces as Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Philadelphia, Newark, Toronto and London. This increased the number of passengers carried yearly to 62 per cent, accounting for the majority of the increase in tourism arrivals into Jamaica at the time. In fact, 52 per cent of tourists to the island arrived (Live and Direct!)on Air Jamaica .

Air Jamaica Operational Data:
  • Air Jamaica began operation in 1969
  • Air Jamaica Cost Jamaica US $200 Million to divest
  • Air Jamaica adds to the Nation Budget US$150 Million per Annum
  • Air Jamaica lost US $1 Billion in 10 Years
  • Air Jamaica was US $500 Million in debt.
  • Over the last two quarters of 2009 Air Jamaica made an operational profit
  • At its peak, the airline carried 69 per cent of all persons travelling to Jamaica and 52 per cent of tourists visiting the island.
  • Air Jamaica had an excellent safety record
  • Air Jamaica won several major international awards, including 'Best Airline Servicing the Caribbean'

"Air Jamaica was a priceless national asset and I could foresee the enormous contribution it could make to tourism and the national economy,"
Butch Stewart.

What made Air Jamaica, “Air Jamaica”? It was truly special in the hearts of Jamaicans, you cannot just grab any old plane and paint the air Jamaica colours and logo on it and think you could replace the real “Air Jamaica, the Love Bird, Air Yard”, it was a combination of things that made it “Air Jamaica”, it was our birth right. Yes we use to curse the hell out of it when it was late, sometimes swear we would never take it again but once we got to our destination all was forgiven. In all my years of going back and forth to Jamaica before we sold Air Jamaica, I have only taken one other airline, once and I felt disgusted, it was then that I declared that any flight from and to Jamaica must be on my Air Jamaica.

It made us feel special when we saw it parked in airports around the world or to see it flying overhead while in some other country. I once saw it when I was in the South West of England I looked up to see the magic colours and the distinctive Love Bird logo and my heart swelled with pride. We grew up with Air Jamaica, when I was young my family use to take Sunday evening drives to the airport to watch it land and take off while we eat our ice cream and cake and various snack.

I will never forget it, it will always be special to me and nothing will ever replace it and I will never dishonor its memory by taking that imitation Air Jamaica/Trinidad/Caribbean Airline thing.
